Swanepoel & Scandrol Safaris Zambia have assembled the best collection of hunting blocks of any operator in Zambia. Our company has been allocated the famous Mumbwa GMA in western Zambia on a 10 year contract. We have been hunting this area since the late 1980's and throughout the safari industry Mumbwa is consistently regarded as the top lion and leopard area in Africa. In addition to the Mumbwa GMA we have secured the hunting rights to additional Kafue region areas Nkala and Namwala adjacent to the Mumbwa GMA. These areas offer expanded opportunities for excellent Lion and Leopard hunting as well as first class Buffalo opportunities as well. We are also offering safaris in the Mulobezi GMA for Leopard, Sable and the full range of plainsgame species found in this area. In order to offer our clientele the full range of Zambian species we have entered into agreements with two Luangwa Valley based operators. This allows us to offer world class buffalo hunting and also for some of the excellent lion and leopard found in Luangwa. We also offer safaris in the Bangweulu Swamps for outstanding hunting of the Zambezi Sitatunga, Black Lechwe and other species found in the region.

ZAWA license fees for any and all animals to be hunted must be paid in advance of the safari.
ZAWA license fees for any animals not taken or wounded/lost will be credited towards the final trophy fee costs post safari.
Trophy fees are paid on all animals taken or wounded/lost.
Second animals of certain species where quotas allow may be taken. ZAWA license fees for all second animals are at 150% of first animal pricing (example Impala 1st $120 and 2nd Impala would be $180)

Specialized Safari Rights are paid to the Government in lieu of Block Fees for all species hunted in Bangweulu and the Kafue Flats. The fees are paid prior to hunting and are non-refundable.
Secondary area "Hunting Rights Fees" are incurred when any species are taken in areas other than the primary area for which the Block Fees have been paid. These fees are paid prior to hunting in the secondary area and are non refundable. In addition a GMA permit fee of $250 applies to any secondary area hunting.
A contribution of 10% of the total of all ZAWA license fees and trophy fees are collected for regional taxes and funding of our community development and anti-poaching projects.
